Why we exist

Home isn’t only something you find. It’s something we build together.

Moving to a new country can feel lonely, especially on a Friday night, when it seems everyone else is heading to a family dinner. SHISHI HOUSE is built on a simple idea: set a long table, invite Israelis and Olim to sit around it together, and let the evening do the rest.

We’re a volunteer-run community. Every dinner happens because people give their time, and everyone who comes brings something to the table.

Our vision
An Israeli society where everyone feels at home, no matter where they were born.

How it works

How a shared evening comes together

  1. Save your seat

A volunteer team prepares the space, welcomes people and brings the evening to life.

  2. Bring something

Everyone contributes to the shared experience, from food and conversation to the energy of the room.

  3. Sit down together

Share a secular Friday dinner with Israelis and Olim in central Tel Aviv. Come on your own or with a friend.

Some evenings continue with a social activity after dinner.
